John James Audubon Birder’s Journal

$18.95

Whether you are a seasoned birder or a beginner, this journal will prove to be an invaluable tool for you to record your bird observations.

John James Audubon was an innovative artist and naturalist who documented American birds like never before. The dazzling watercolors interspersed throughout this journal were among the works included in his monumental The Birds of America. Following the information at the beginning of the journal, you will find observation pages, which allow you to record all different aspects of your bird sightings, including when and where you see each bird and descriptions of the bird’s appearance and behavior. There is also space for quick sketches. When you turn to the back of the book, you will find the Life List checklist of regularly occurring North American species. Next to each bird listed is a blank line where you can fill in the page number(s) of your notes for that particular bird. Then you can easily use the Life List to locate your own notes once your journal becomes more and more filled with your bird observations. (You can also simply check off birds on the Life List, whether or not you record any observations about them.)

Happy birding!
